I've been experiencing strange lag issues for a while on neopets and I'm absolutely clueless as to what's been causing it. I initially thought it was a computer or internet connection related issue but seeing how it only occurs on Neopets.com, I don't think that's the problem. We just had our connection upgraded and a brand new modem installed, yet no improvement at all. Now, what I mean by "lag" is that I click and it seems like the page is going to load... but it just doesn't. The progress bar doesn't move and it eventually leads to an error page. If I hit back and try again, all is well. If I click again while it's "stuck", it will go through normally. While it may seem like a mild inconvenience at best, the "lag" becomes a serious problem when restocking from main shops, namely the Magic Shop. While the lag can be easily fixed anywhere else with a second click, when it comes to the Magic Shop the lag evolves into pure evil. Every time it looks like I just successfully restocked myself a potion, it freezes for several seconds before finally processing and, obviously, it's already too late. If I didn't get the potion, it takes me to the "nope, not quick enough" screen right away. I thought it may just be unlucky timing at first but seeing how it does it every single time... I don't call this bad luck anymore. Ever since this lag issue showed up, I have been unable to restock anything from the magic shop due to this freezing issue, and that's by far the last shop I wanted to be banned from =( I really want to be able to restock from the Magic Shop again and so I turn to you, NeoMallers community, in hopes that someone here has an idea as to what's going on. Why has neopets been so laggy lately for me? Why does the problem worsen in the magic shop? How can I fix it? What is the secret of the caramilk? Thank you for reading =)
