Run-time error '713'

Hi I changed computers recently and have tried to open up portal, but whenever I do, I get this error. "Run=time error "713": Class not registered. You need the following file to be installed on your machine. MSSTDFMT.DLL

oops I didn't put it all in one long line it said "The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect." o.o

If you just run the first half, it should pop up with a dialog box with a bunch of Regsvr32 usage instructions, correct?

Did you copy/paste the command into the command prompt? (if you copy the entire command, and then right click on the top bar of the command prompt, you can select 'Edit -> Paste' )

I get the same error as before when I copy & paste o.o when I remove the space I get the filename, directory thingy again

Yea, there needs to be a space there. The first half is calling the command to register a DLL. The second half is the DLL itself, with the full path. Wish I had Vista 32 in front of me, but we skipped that at work entirely *lol* Unfortunately, if you've done everything as written, and it isn't registering, then it is entirely possible there is something else very wrong with the machine, though I try not to jump to that conclusion. Now, it's not proper, but you can try moving the DLL to c:\windows and changing the second half of the command, taking out the /system32 part), but I think you will get the same exact results if you do that... edit: This is why I don't do phone support any more, when you can hop on the other persons machine with VNC or something, things like this take a minute or two *lol*
