We are negotiable slightly on shop size. We do look for someone has the idea of malling and that they are also a dedicated shop person continually adding stock, growing their shop etc.
Bryan it sounds like you have a bunch of neopoints squirreled away. Unless you are saving up for something, they are not doing a whole lot just sitting there. If you decide you want to work with your shop I would like to recommend you 1/2 those points. What I mean by that is put 1/2 into shop upgrades and the other half into stocking. Looking at your shop, you have about 2 1/2 pages in there of items. Work on getting more in there. You want to get your quantities up to 3. By having quantities of 3 in there, you bring in those that are looking to restock. They will come to your shop based on your quantity not lowest price. Why because in most cases they are needing more than one qty to restock their shop. They will go to you as it saves them time from having to buy from 3 different shops. Even if your price is slightly more, they will come to you based on quantity. Don't expect to get it all done over night. Do this just a little at a time. Then before you know it you will have 10 pages full of food/drinks in your shop.
Something else that I did...when my shop til reached a certain amount, let's say it was 300,000, I would 1/2 that. Putting 1/2 into upgrades and the other 1/2 into stock again. This way you are increasing in both areas:) Set that amount at whatever you would like it to be. It could even be 100K as right now your shop upgrades are pretty cheap.
Don't forget to be playing games in between for additional neopoints. Playing those games could lead to additional stock and upgrades:)
Also i am not saving up for anything. It is just stored away in my bank for the sake of it. Also i might need help to stock my shop. Since i have only been back for around a month my whole stock amount has taken a massive battering. I might need to assess that.

Just stock little by little, it adds up :) You can always use another shop of the same category for a guide on what to shop. I wouldn't use their prices as a guide though, because bigger shops can afford to have higher prices than small shops.
If you aren't already in a mall trying getting in one that works with smaller shops. Any mall helps link shops together. Ok that's not to say get in a mall with people that have like 2 items in their whole shop....Hmmmmm one that comes to mind is Nursery Malls. They have been a mall line that works with shops that aren't quite to market place size yet. Have seen some excellent mallers blossom from that line:)

Thanks for the well wishes Cutie:) Filling the mall spots seems to be slow going these days. We are looking to revise the mall guidelines to maybe be more in reflection of malling lately instead of the good ole days.

but i doubt it would ever reach the standards of the old days. Im talking generally here. All the hard working malls out there.

Well being that our guild is TML (The Mallers League) we have created our guide lines to support successful malling. However it does seem that over time, people have become ok with just hanging a mall banner or that they forget all the things it takes to run a successful shop.
I can see a tweak in the mall guidelines but no so much that people are just hanging a banner. We don't want to be that type of malling group. If we have to cut back on the amount of malls we have to keep in line we how we would like to mall than we would do that.
There are many malls out there, with all sorts of guidelines. I have even seen some that rate your shop + or -, others that tell you exactly when to upgrade and you don't upgrades unless they tell you too. There are all sorts of ideas out there. I guess it's just finding one that suits you best:)

Yes that part i need to congratulate TML for. Your petpage is one of the best in all the malls. I would rate your mall 10/10 for organisation.
