Why would they do this?

Hello! I noticed while I was in the auctions that someone was selling codestones for 20 mil and had another person buying them... why would they transfer the money this way? Also, how high can you bid on an auction?

Its the only way to sell weapons in trades which sell for over 20 million cash. Trades only permit a max of 800k, and auctions have a max start of 10 mil plus a 10 mil increment. Of course you need to be sure you can trust the trader when you do these split trades.

what item would be worth 120mil or more?

lots of weapons go for over 120m

Oh. I didn't know you could only do increments of 10 mil and start at 10 mil. Huh. My guess would have been that someone was paying for neopoints (as in, with real money). Hm.
