I was in this category a while back. The stock can be overwhelming, and it's a ton of work keeping it all together. It's a great way to go if you want a challenge and have a lot of time!

Furniture/Gardening is a strong category. As this is something that people do to decorate their neohome, it's always a category that people can buy more than just one item. As for the restocking...as on any category you should not really need to restock any more than once in a while. Maybe every other week. If you have needing to do more than that, it's either time to increase prices a bit or increase quantities. Running a shop or being in a mall does not mean you are dedicating all you time to this. I have a shop with lots of different items and pages. I do not spend all of my time doing just shop stuff. I play games, work on coding pages, battle and all sorts of other stuff as well. If your shop is consuming all of your neopets time, change how you are working with it. Your shop shouldn't run you, you should run your shop. As a pretty avid (classic!) neohomer, I'll chime in. Classic homies are few and far between these days, but we do buy in bulk. As in...if I'm tilling a room, I may need 50-100 of one particular piece of furniture. That does sometimes cause temporary havock with prices, too ;) The newer homes don't create that need as much (there's not enough room!) though there are some pieces that are used in gardens but I don't think it's quite the same numbers as with classic. You could hang out on the neohomes board - it usually moves pretty slowly, but if the classic folk are gearing up for a parade it might give you an idea on what to stock...
