seeking advice

hey I just joined up here. My username on neopets is coreich. I recently upgraded to size 105, and filled my shop with about half of all the dark faerie quest items, I would have put them all in but ran out of money. I am currently pricing them at 1k over sw. I am part of a little mall on the avatar chat, and I get about 50 views a day I think. I was just wondering, what is the next step, should I save and put more stock in, should I make my items cheaper to sell quicker, if you guys could give me any advice it would be highly appreciated. thanks :)

Advertise ;) Your mall will bring in a few hits (you can use the counter here to find out how many), but the neoboards are a great free way to advertise - both on the shop ad board, and by having a link to your shop in your sig. Take advantage right now of the daily faerie quests - lots of us are getting lots of hits - and buys! Stick a few of your items in trades, adding 'available in my shop' in your wishes. You should probably price at least some of your stock (front page - first row, middle rows...) low on the sw. That will bring people in too (who then might look around and buy more). I started last summer at around size 30, I'm now at 182 - my catagory is 'music' in a newish mall (weidenf on neo). I do quite a bit of advertising on the neoboards. I've grown as I sell, no great jumps at once, just one or two upgrades as I get more sales.

also, what is the best / most profitable category to be, for my current shop size, what will get me upgrading faster? Thanks :)

I'd avoid buying SW FQ items~ I'm dumping all of mine for mega inflated prices- a 4k item worth 50k now. Pure mini-malling won't be that profitable though.

currently I have bought over 500 sw FQ items, I am thinking of at the end of this event, may be leaving my current mini mall, and taking it a bit more seriously, and maybe swtiching to collectibles. what do you think? thanks for all your help so far.

I love selling collectable items in my shop. In the past people have told me they are not great sellers but I don't agree. I dont know what they are like for smaller shops but I also think you need to enjoy restocking whatever category you decide to sell. All the best with your decision coreichichich.

Probably like many people have said. Make like the mainstock around 200np or more expensive than sw and get some 1k worth items and put them cheaper or the same price as sw. This would get buyers in a if you stay with a catergory they would probably buy all they need in your shop other than searching for another shop to buy that item. All the best and play games to be richer. Read guides is the way to go. :D

okay, so I have decided that after this faerie event I will change my category to collectibls, and will start buying stock from now, to fill up in my SDB :D
