Portal Question

Hi Everyone, I am thinking about placing a lot of my items from my shop into my stamp album, card albums etc So my question is say I take out 200 cards from my shop do I then need to submit my shop front into the portal to show the correct amount of items I know have left in my shop? I just dont want to go ahead and move the cards from my shop if the portal isn't going to be reflecting the correct total of each item I have left in my shop, if I did go ahead and move them. Any Help would be appreciated.

I have been trying to look at the forum questions before posting here but I couldnt find my answer. My Question is I have the portal downloaded to my computer but was told by a friend its always good to have a copy of your portal incase your computer crashes or whatever. So I have tried to copy all my current portal info to a 1 Gig portalable drive, it seems to copy ok till I open the portal from the 1 Gig drive and I seem to get an out of date database info, I have a list of my wearable items, collectables and maps but when I open the portal up from the small drive I have copied the info onto I only get collectables from what Items I had way back in Feb 2010. Am I missing something as I would hate anything to happen with my current portal info as I love using it for all my shop items to see how much I paid for each item, how much profit I make a day etc . I would appreciate any help and I have tried to explain it the best I can.

Make sure you're copying the right files? Is it possible you have 2 copies of Portal on your computer? Check the shortcut you use to open it to see where it's located, and check the Modified date of the files you're copying, as copying the entire portal directory should work just fine.
