Portal problem
I've been using the portal a lot over the last couple of weeks to keep track of my shop stock, sales and customers but for some odd reason when I opened it today all of my sales and statistics had disappeared *unsure* It still states my overall statistics on the main screen, but I can't view any graphs or statistics found through the sales history section. I can still view my customers and all the details they had but all the statistics from my sales and profits have vanished. Is this permanent or is there some way I can get them back? Wow, I don't think I've ever said the word "statistics" so many times... :P Other than that, great program to use :)

In addition to that, it's now saying "Run-time error '11': Division by zero". How can I fix this?

Hmm if you can zip it up and attach it somewhere, I can take a look at it

Okay, thanks. I can't even use the program now... I've zipped it all up.

That's weird.. i cant even open the sales history file. The file is 2 KB but seems to be empty. I'll probably need to test it on windows XP to see if it's readable there...

If there's ever something that can possibly go wrong it will most likely happen to me...typical... *sighs* I tried submitting the sales history I had from overnight, just to see if that would do anything, but then the run-time error started appearing...

nahh the program in which i coded portal in is very very old.. A newer version is underway but i've been distracted with making sure the security of this site is up to par

Well, as long as we know the site's gonna be secure, I don't think anyone minds waiting for an updated version. I'm currently trying to restock my shop with the aid of Microsoft Access...it seems much more complicated now that I'm used to using the Portal, haha.

The new version runs directly from this site so glitches would be far less of an issue. Plus I'd be able to fix bugs a whole lot faster since I'm following proper coding conventions haha

Haha, sounds like the new version will be a great addition to my daily routine once it's up and running; my internet runs at a relatively good speed, but my programs tend to run unusually slow for some reason...I would've expected the exact opposite... So, any idea as to what might be wrong here? Needing to use Access is killing me, lol.

Unfortunately, even in XP your sales data appears to be corrupted. (in both Mac OS X, Win7, and XP, i see the file with 1.25 kB but is completely empty, which is what crashes the portal) NeoMallers Portal will however start if you delete the sd.db and the 2012_sales file from your neomallers portal folder\users\relaga directory. Your shop stock database seems to be intact but your sales appears to be missing. As a last resort, you can always open up the rawsales.txt file in that directory and resubmit them - though the profit will be based on the current stock price that's currently in portal.
