Opinions on noticeboard ads!

Ok, so last year when I ran ads I used to make an insane profit off them 0:-) like easily 700k plus on the peak day. Anyway, I had top ad yesterday, and while my hits were beyond ridiculous quite frankly, my profit was only a little over 230k. Now I know it will pick up as summer comes closer, I also know not everything about ads is the profit, but yeah, I thought that was particularly poor. Sure there are off weeks, but as the poster of the ad, it doesn't feel like I should have sacrificed sleep to post that *lol* Just wondering, if you were me, would you keep running the ad? I also have a sunday ad, I didn't get top with it so I know that ones going to be a complete fail. A good friend of mine said maybe I should just run the Thursday ad and not the sunday one. Opinions? :*

I think NB ads have been downgraded since there is no graphic link that links to the NB ads. (And I often see NB ads hosted on imageshack go fine) which is a huge problem since last year, any image hosted on image shack would crap out after 1 hour because of bandwidth overusage

I had really good luck with the ad posted this week. I know it was well worth it for me, and I'm sorry it wasn't that great for you. I do know with finals winding down for the next few weeks for students, that might be the cause. You could wait until June to start it back up again?

Yeah, since it's impossible to know the number of hits we were getting from the noticeboards alone last year, but yesterday I got like 549 hits from it lol! While I am on other ads, and I did have two other buttons on that ad which I know will have made the difference... I don't know, maybe something is wrong with my shop *lol* But I know how to work this category... so I doubt it... Glad the ad paid off for you :) I already had one member drop out of a nice spot on there yesterday after she also had terrible results from it. Maybe it was just a shit week?

i think it's definitely a kirst... i mean a shitty week. 0:-) Maybe it's because I wasnt online this week but my sales were 1/3 of what they usually are (and so are my hits)

Sales are down all over, but I do think in the next 30 days they will pick back up. Summer always brings out the spenders.

True, sure things will pick up. I guess it also doesn't help that I only started using the portal around the time I started the ads, so I don't know for sure how I was doing before that :P

Yep, sales were crap!!! Its so weird, because I had AWESOME sales on fri/sat/sun (I was on a fri peak ad, but not sat or sun), and then monday till today is CRAP (tho i was on a wed, thurs AND friday ad!!) I dont know whatsup with it :( The only thing about canning your sunday ad is that, isnt it (mostly) for your mallers? Maybe ask them what they think cause it will stink for them if they wanna stay on it and it gets canned :P

A few are in my mall on the sunday ad yeah, I know one or two that would be pissed, but most would just be like oh ok, as they are on the thursday ad too, and the waiting list anyway. But yeah. I dont know what to do about the sunday ad, im going to run it again this week at least and hope to be awake enough to get top lol. last week my reactions were just too slow, posting an ad on two hours sleep is just no fun!

My sales were crappy too, so no worries!! I think its mainly exams and such for those who are still in school that might be causing the drop!! They should pick up again over the next week or two as people get out of school :D Or at least I hope so anyways :)
