Locked, what is this crap

so a moderator in this site Locked my board. It was my guild board with the topic new mall name graphix etc etc... It was listed on the malling ideas boards... They said next time use the mall openings... well I used that board to recieve comments from people in this site to see what they thought about it not for advertising board. Even the neomaller Owner posted on my board wishing me a bump :P So what is this, I hope this is not going to be like neopets and everything you say and do will be like, omg spam, omg iced material. If i make a board I make sure its worth making one. Yes im offended. Im prob gona get some hate comments but meh upset me more doesnt matter :P

No one is going to lose any accounts unless they try to post a CG (which I'm pretty sure it's impossible with all the character restrictions) or they spam 100+ messages in a row. Also, I'll create a separate forum for malling advice and malling ads. It'll solve both issues but to be honest, i think it kills the purpose of the malling toolbar though

I agree it would kill the purpose of the toolbar, which is nice and efficient thanks to the 2 weeks thing

I agree that an ad board is unnecessary... the tool bar is a great feature, and you can always use the ad boards on neopets. Then again... if it makes people happy and is in a separate section that I don't have to look at, it really makes no difference to me. :)

me telling you what to do? no. just my opinion. i give it a lot. especially on forums... it seemed spooky cause i couldnt find the contact info until it was pointed out to me. very useful.:)

Lol. You're a moderator, doesn't the owner of this site give you the rules before hand? Since you have just found it now, it's kind of weird how the moderator process works. I guess its a bit still new...
Lol i wish i was a moderator for this site. I have noticed the locked and relocated messages and my only complaint (I love that you are trying to keep things organized) is that sometimes these topics evolve and so perhaps it started as one thing but moves to another. I honestly don't know what locked means (can you still continue posting?) but I do know that finding threads I was really interested in and was following is getting more difficult. I do keep bookmarking a lot of them but should I really have 50 threads bookmarked? Don't know how to solve the issue and will leave the decisions up to you but did want to let you know that it isn't just the creators of a thread that are bummed. ~ Mimi (Please read my Guest Book: Requesting Guide Help) _____________________________________________________ Mimi's Ménagerie: Healthy Tastes Good Here! http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=temps_bons
You can continue reading but not posting. That is just the thing with message boards vs neoboards. You really dont want to keep a topic evolving too much because it can become difficult for anyone to remember where you were in the first place. If something is discussion worthy, start a new post about it. Its not like neoboards where you are going to get nailed for making a new post. For example, its starts on topic A and sort of skirts around topic B, but a question topic C pops into your mind... you're better off just making the new post. Odds are more people will have input on your topic that may not have seen it in the first place with it buried inside of a long thread. It also allows for others wondering about the same information to be able to find it easily. That's my logic anyway. I know I don't have the patience to follow 8 pages of changing discussions to see what is all going on. As far as moving the posts, well its really not that difficult to figure out where you should be posting your topic in the first place. ;)
