Ideas for boosting sales for Training/Luck

So currently I'm in a Training/Luck/Paintbrushes/Coupons category (basically lots small things lumped into one category :P). My shop size is a measly 150. How would you guys recommend attracting customers? I've tried advertising on the Shop Ads board, but for an hour of advertising, I only got 1-2 sales and ~20-30 hits.
I sell Luck/Job coupons too and I absolutly love it! What does your Shop Ad look like, because when I advertise I get lots of hits and sales - the Shop Ads Board and my Mall are my main sources of hits.
My ads on the Neoboards are just plain text, listing out the types of items I sell. Should I make it shinier and more glamorous? :P
Thanks for all those tips :) And jacko, I see that you're in The Preschool. I used to be in that mall branch a loong time ago under a different account (prior to a hiatus from Neopets) :) Good memories :)
Haha that's cool :), it's a very good mall and I'm happy to be in it :D. I've never really used the shop boards to advertise much tbh. Maybe a title like "WIN MILLIONS OF NPS ON SCRATCHCARDS!!!" could work :P
I thought Spooky wasn't working? I think since a shop has so many ways to attract customers you need to use all of them. SW - always have something that will bring people into your shop, since the SW displays random prices it is always good to have your name displayed there. So many people think when their in a mall they jack their prices way up then complain about no sales *cough* If your sales are low there is a reason, if your prices are reasonable then check to see how many users are online . Last summer it would average about 60k & now it's about 25k-ish. Check your stats & see how people are finding you, then make adjustments if you need to. You also need to have cheap items for the impulsive buyer :D like I stock a lot of faerie cup cakes, pizza & other items that cost maybe 50 nps & sell them for 400 nps & I sell a ton of them. Good Luck Check out my Faerie Shop: http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=texas_girl_95
Yeah I did the same thing execpt I was doing luck. I posted that You could win The big jackpot and Win cool prizes with these scratchcards and Neocola tokens and i put up the price to 1,500nps for scratchcard and 10,000nps for neocola token. They sold like hot cakes and it was needed to keep my business afloat. Less people=More Advertising. I recommend a attracting heading on the Shop Ads board.

Where Everyday is A Sale

Yes, I highly advise adding in *swagbag*'s or something to catch people's eyes and a catchy title - no matter what category you are. It might be harder to make up something neat for other categories, but just saying what you sell ("Selling Scratchcards!") won't bring in many people at all. Back to luck, listing out what people can win greatly helps and linking to the Kiosks, Neocola Machine, and Toy Repair Shop (depending on your stock) will cut back on the Noobs asking where to go, although I have a huge banner in my shop and every month there is always one that asks..
