Portal getting "hung up"
My husband decided it was a good idea to wipe my computer and install Windows 7 on it, and as a result I lost my old version of the portal with my old profile stuff. I have installed the Pro version 7.2.0 and am trying to set up my new profile. However the portal is getting "hung up" when I try to add all the pages of my shop. It skips back to the start of my shop front and just sits...and will not let me advance. I left it for several hours yesterday, with no change. Screenie attached. I tried adding one page at a time to my profile, thinking perhaps it was because over 1000 unique items was too much for the portal to handle. However after doing that when I then tried to do my whole shop to check for sales it again got stuck. Am I messing something up here? Hoping it's not an incompatibility with Windows 7 - program opens just fine and no issues with the download. (I also uninstalled and reinstalled the portal, just in case that was an issue). Any suggestions would be appreciated! :)

Shop front shouldn't have descriptions in it. At least mine doesn't. Are you possibly copying your Shop Stock page? Yes, you need to copy/paste one page at a time.

That actually happens to a lot of people. It has nothing to do with your OS. Its fromadding too many items at once without processing or from not copying the entire page. Example: Raspberry Sweetie 8 in stock Cost: 375 N < notice the P in NP isn't there. Hope that helped!

Hmm, interesting. Uninstall, reinstall, and try to be extra careful setting up my database this time through to make sure I don't skip anything. Thanks for the tips :) Jathina, my shop front has always done that with the descriptions. I'm definitely copying that though, not my sales history or shop stock. Did you mean I need to do one page at a time for the initial setup, or every time I use the portal? The old version I was running never had an issue with me copying my entire shop front and then processing once the database had been established.

Pretty sure instructions say to copy/paste one page at a time then to check last page when you reach the final page of stock. That is the way I do mine and it works fine. And I enter shop front that way every time. Also make sure you are only picking up stock when you copy/paste. If you pick up the next 80 links it doesn't work too well either.

Ahhh, I read that as copy & paste pages one at a time, check Final Page when you reached the end, then process the lot. Rather I should be processing pages as I go, then clicking final page and processing on the final page? Strange, I'd been processing the whole lot together on the old version of the portal and it worked just fine. Wonder why the newer version doesn't care for that? Oh well - whatever works! *scampers off to try again*

Yes that is right, process one page at a time then select last page when processing final page of stock. Not sure how old version worked. I didn't have any luck with it.
When pasting, follow these steps. Step 1: Copy page 1 of your stock. Click Process Step 2: Copy page 2 of your stock. Click Process. Repeat for all your pages EXCEPT when pasting the last page, check "final page" before clicking process.
Ahh another user who's doing this. Maybe I should make it work both ways... if i can find the time
