NeoMallers Portal - convert it to Web-based?

Ok i think i'm getting tired of compatibility issues and i think windows 7 might have issues running it (maybe) so i'm thinking of porting it to php. aka it'll be web based. Would you be interested/prefer this method? For now, all i can think is you can access them from anywhere you want... but some functions like the graphing tool (and maybe customers) might be lost

It would be really cool to be able to access it from anywhere... Sometimes I get bored at work and wish I could use my time to restock my shop. lol ;)

yeah, that'd be handy but Nicole and her 3000 item database might explode the server but if i force it to process bit by bit, i think we'll be fine. The customer database is probably just a drag with extra load. Plus it will make the online database abit easier

I like web based stuff. Accessing it anywhere is great. I know when I first started malling, I used neowishlists instead of the Portal, because I didnt want to install an unknown program onto my PC. Tho , I eventually heard enough good things that I got it :PI dont use the graphs much, so I dont mind if they poof :P

Yeah thats another issue. The current platform uses MS Visual Basic 6 and so many anti-virus programs declare it as a virus. As for graphs, I think i can teach myself flash eventually and use that. I can probably have it all coded within the week (or maybe even less) if i can come up with a good method to store/retrieve everyone's data.)

As someone who currently can't use the portal because I'm on a Mac, having the portal web-based would be of great interest. I can't imagine how the load might be with all the items, but go for it! I'm excited to see how it'll turn out. Thanks, Dmitri!

Well it might not be as bad as i thought. I dumped in about 1000 items and it all processed in less than a second

I wouldnt mind it switching to web based... but Dmitri... what on earth happened to taking some time out and earning some neopoints? :P Heard of that word called "rest"?

Havent restocked a thing since March. The junk go fine but all the good stuff get massive pet lag
