I think the harddrive might have blown, but are you sure it didn't overheat?
No, the problem was that that weird switch didn't allow any power to that outlet that I had my computer plugged in to. So even though it was plugged into the wall, it was using the battery still and when it died it was only the battery that had gotten too low. I never thought to plug it up to a new outlet since it was plugged in when it "broke". As for it not showing the normal battery-low signs, it might actually had done it, but I probably thought it was some sort of update trying to start or something (I never pay attention to anything lol). And yeah, I blame it on the switch lol. It's kind of weird to have something like that I guess but okay. We've lived in this house around 3 years and I honestly forgot it was there since it hardly ever gets used. (I DO remember now when we first moved in that we flipped it on and off to see what it'd do lol but since you can't actually see anything I always assumed it did nothing)

You are so funny =) I am happy your laptop did not break though! And I love those switches, especially for Christmas trees, the TV, ETC, to save some power..bahaha...Love being an adult paying bills :D At least all is well, and I bet you will baby your laptop now...until it does die, =P Sad to hear all the bad news about the laptop though! But that is good news for now!

Glad you figured out the problem and that it's not the computer. :)
