[DEV] Sales Tracker II

Now that I'm done exams and my semester, the dev. of the new web version will soon start. But before it actually goes under development, would you all prefer it in Flash App or php/jscript based (how the rest of this site is made) Flash CS4 Pros: greater interactivity + interface + potential for graphical features, less load on servers Cons: could possibly lag on graphics cards that do not have 3D capabilities (most cards made in the last 5 years should though) Possibly might become a security threat if the flash file is reverse-engineered (so i'd have to double check this situation) A Flash banner i created for one of my projects. See if that lags or not http://www.neomallers.com/uploads/CABA/haiti/standalone.html PHP/Jscript Pros: good for slower computers, can be accessed by mobile devices such as iPods, blackberries, and iphones Cons: More load on servers, javascript based and might be slower processing, may have a choppy interface at first, less potential for graphics features Let me know what you think :)

I don't really care that much amazing graphics.

The flash banner loads fast for me as well (FF 3.6.3).

Flash looks more interesting and interactive. Like everyone else I am a fan of Flash. But when it comes to the security issue - will it be like last time to where they might only be able to get our information from accounts on this site or could it possibly be like a CG and get everything? I know nothing about security and what not so if there is a possiblity they can gain a lot more access to things like our neopets accounts, bank info, etc. then I'll be leery upon going with flash. Anyways it seems to be possible to make use of URL headers and that kind of stuff in the last case of scenario

Flash both loads and looks great for me! Great job on the school project btw, cool idea :). I think you should go with Flash if it's safe. Dumb question, but just making sure - would both versions work on Macs?
