It's useless and actually slows down performance since most computers have plenty of RAM 1. Type “[b]about:config[/b]” into the address bar and hit Enter. (Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.) 2. Alter the entries as follows: Set [b]“network.http.pipelining”[/b] to “[b]true[/b]” Set “[b]network.http.proxy.pipelining[/b]” to “[b]true[/b]” Set “[b]network.http.pipelining.maxrequests[/b]” to some number like 10. This means it will make 10 requests at once. 3. Lastly, right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it “[b]nglayout.initialpaint.delay[/b]” and set its value to “0“;.(Zero) This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives. Works great on a laptop with 3 GB RAM, dual core processor.
