Mine too and I sell food! None of my items on page 1 are SW/SWW priced. I can't keep the first page stocked on most days! I guess the other items in my shop are just there to be shop wizz'd to get them to the first page, LOL! I am so glad you all see the problem I have seen with huge shops. I don't know many users who will go through more than 5 pages or so. This stinks because I keep finding cool things to add to my shop but am trying to keep the page numbers down. Thank goodness for the gallery shoppers and restockers that look through your whole shop and buy like crazy, I love them! ~ Mimi (Please read my Guest Book: Requesting Guide Help) _____________________________________________________ Mimi's Ménagerie: Healthy Tastes Good Here! http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=temps_bons

Looking for the MSPP lend please contact me for collateral details:) Hmm.. I was wondering whether to raise the prices on my first page. I don't know yet because my sales tend to come from the SW.

Temps, I saw somewhere on another topic about how it might be better to have the more unique stock rather than the same items that are in every other store of your category. So maybe you should try the more cool looking items that cost a little more. Not only will the customer be interested but they are more than likely unfamiliar with the "normal" price of that item (think about it, if you go into a shop and see Doughnuts, Eyeshadow, Dung, ect. for 1k and it's like the first few rows or page of stock, you might assume that the rest of the items are just as overpriced), so if you overprice the lesser known item a little more than normal they wouldn't know (unless they go in and sw everything in your shop)

Yeah good idea :P I am guilty of 1k doughnuts Few of my sales except pizza and cake come from the first page. Its funny because I always wiz price my first 3 items but people will usually go onto another page and buy an item that gives me a 2k profit instead :P
Spare a CC vote please? :* http://www.neopets.com/games/caption_browse.phtml

I have recently taken a half-step in that direction by adding NeoDeck Cards and books which is working out well. I have looked at those 100np items in my shop that I pay 1np for and wonder how many people are turned off by them but at the same time I can't keep them in stock. I can't explain that! Anyway, those items are left over from my newbie days and I really should get rid of them. I love them though, *sniffle! I just spent the most ever in one day (yesterday) buying gourmet food. I guess I just feel better psychologically buying 300 items rather than 5 for the same price, LOL! I'm getting there though! I don't know how long it will take me to realize that I have plenty of neopoints! I guess I just keep saving (I love my bank interest too, whomever said that earlier, LOL!) for when I finally get into a mall and have to switch categories. Getting a food position in a mall seems impossible. I haven't seen one yet in the ads. ~ Mimi (Please read my Guest Book: Requesting Guide Help) _____________________________________________________ Mimi's Ménagerie: Healthy Tastes Good Here! http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=temps_bons

IF you have a good shop. I think it is because people would rather just buy what they need in one shop that spend all that time using the SW. A lot of my prices don't show up on SSW (which lists the 20 very lowest priced items) yet they still sell and the buyers get to my shop via shop wizard. Just try it for a week and see how you do. Mark up the last items in your shop instead of the first ones to give it a try. I know I am still amazed when people don't buy the absolute lowest priced item -- I do that but I'm sooooo cheap! *ahem, frugal! :) ~ Mimi (Please read my Guest Book: Requesting Guide Help) _____________________________________________________ Mimi's Ménagerie: Healthy Tastes Good Here! http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=temps_bons

I tried taking out the generic every-food-shop-has-it stock on my first page as an experiment last night! My average shop till is around 100K -- Monday night was 200K -- I took all those items off my first page and my shop till was 3,744 points! I had NO IDEA it would make THAT much of a difference! WOW! Can y'all believe that? ~ Mimi (Please read my Guest Book: Requesting Guide Help) _____________________________________________________ Mimi's Ménagerie: Healthy Tastes Good Here! http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=temps_bons
