There is -- I'll try to dig-up the thread with the info in there for you! This happens to me quite a bit after 1/2 price day because I am in a rush to buy items that I often forget to put the prices down. P.S. It's great to have you in our mall and on the mall counters page!!! Now I just gotta catch up with you on shoppers! :) _____________________________________________________ ~ Mimi's Ménagerie Avatars ~ http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=temps_bons&misc

Find your portal folder (right click on the shortcut for the program and look at properties) In that folder there should be a "raw sales" folder. If you click on that you will see all the sales you have in your database. (leave that open for now) Go to your portal "manage stock" and update the price for the paintbrush. Then copy your "raw sales" data and paste it into your notepad. Go to the portal, click on "admin tools" and click the button "delete sales history". Now re-paste your sales history from your notepad in the way you normally would being sure you don't add too many at once so they all go in. Idea: you are updating the price and then deleting your portal sales history and then re-pasting it so it shows up correctly in your reports and graphs. _____________________________________________________ ~ Mimi's Ménagerie Avatars ~ http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=temps_bons&misc

Hmm, if the portal goes webbased, I hope there will be a way to edit our sales history if we made a mistake. Maybe like how NeoWishlists allows you to see each of your sales individually, so you can delete them like that?

I wish there was a way to tag Quest items. Most days I don't have time to go through 120 items looking for the "Quest" text that I put in the comments section. Having a way to look for specifically tagged items that have gone out of stock or are low would be nice. :)

Good point Jaspeh. Before I do all that I have another concern. If I do that, then all the sales in the past's profits will be based on what I've bought the item for in the most recent restock (I hope that makes sense). I'm a person that changes my buy price each time I restock so that the results are as accurate as possible. With this and my method of restocking in mind, I'm thinking I'd just be better off remembering that one day I made a mistake. Is it possible, however, to go into my rawsales folder and cut/paste that one sale out of that folder, then reentering it into my sales history with the bought price being updated? The item was new so that was the only one I've sold so I could easily fix it if it's possible that way. P.S. I love being in the mall and on here. Y'all are so nice (: And I'll definitely give you a run for your money on the shoppers thing :p .:| Paint Brushes |:. http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=heartlessness_&banner

Yes, you can change that one item by deleting it from your raw sales (I am 99% sure of it) and then add it back when you paste your sales history -- just create a dummy sales history entry. And I too change my prices that I paid for items and that does change things dramatically. Speaking of dummy sales history items, I do this daily since I have over 300 items that sell for less than 1K. I have named my customer for these AAA. Yes, the quest items tag would be nice but I wouldn't call it that -- I would call it "regular stock" so that if a user doesn't stock quest items they could see it's usefulness as another tracking device. _____________________________________________________ ~ Mimi's Ménagerie Avatars ~ http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=temps_bons&misc

I think a web based program would be great for those who want/need that but I think Dmitri should keep the downloadable version too. I know this is a tremendous amount of work but it is helping so many of us. If only he could get some help maintaining all of his FREE services.....poor dude! _____________________________________________________ ~ Mimi's Ménagerie Avatars ~ http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=temps_bons&misc

You can also hack the data files. Inside each user directory is a file called 2009_sales, 2008_sales, etc. Open it up with notepad and modify the numbers. Same with the files in the ss2 folder (for shopstock) And sorry, the web based one might not even go live since I have a much bigger category to maintain and the workload is just so tremendous. Making it just as easy requires alot of javascript and with so many people using NoScript on here, it wont work too well. and simply coding it isnt enough - I have to secure it from idiots who might try to slip in a DROP TABLES command or a CG in there The NeoMallers Portal pro edition might go abit go inactive for a bit in september too. (except for glitch fixes and minor updates) And the counter system needs to be redone too. Nicole is fast approaching 1 million total hits and when they 1 million, it's going to get messy.
