log files for portal 7

Can any one get me the log files for it? It keeps on popping up with "settup fatal error: Unable to generate installation log file."

try reinstalling the core

I cant since it pops up with "Setup fatal error: Unable to generate installation log file." I dont have core installed.

You must install the core first as stated on the tutorials and download page or it will not work and you will run into problems.

Hmm. Sounds like there's a security program installed. By any chance, do you have Windows SteadyState enabled? You might have to disable these security software temporarily while you install the portal

The other possibility is to reboot your computer in safe mode (press F8 right before the windows logo pop up) and then run the installer
