Selling: How many items a day is comfortable?

I'm just wondering how many items per day most people feel comfortable selling? I know when the restocking gets crazy it's time to raise prices and sell less items, but for more profit each, but I'm not sure what that level is? My internet connection is slow, so I've always assumed I don't restock as much as others do, but I'm really not sure. How many items are people normally selling per day? For my shop size and budget, I can't do what the huge shops do - buy in bulk buy to restock from my SDB (only in my dreams :P ), so all my restocking is one item at a time from the SSW. How much is too much? I'd really like to know what is normal for SSW restocking volume. Please give your two cents - and your shop size. How many items do you sell per day? Thanks! :) ~ Love books? ***Your CURRENT performance each day*** (Based on data averaged from 29/07/2009 to 04/08/2009) Items Sold: 118 Sales : 604,877 NP Costs : 448,598 NP Profits : 156,279 NP ( 34.8% ) This is way too little, and I'm trying to *at least* double this amount. I'm adding more and more stock, and it is improving sales also. Earlier this week I was doing 500,000np/day in sales and for the past two days it has moved up to 800k-900k. I'm guessing I'll be able to handle around 300 items/day once I start buying overstock.

***Your CURRENT performance each day*** (Based on data averaged from 30/07/2009 to 05/08/2009) Items Sold: 90 Sales : 129,859 NP Costs : 82,587 NP Profits : 47,272 NP ( 57.2% ) Shop Size: 135 Category: Avatar/ Pack Rat/ Random I restock from my SDB and have 5-10 <1K items 3-5 2-10K 1 11+K Restocking from my SDB allows me to sell mostly sniped stock and to get it done quickly on days when maybe my sales are less than what I need to buy. Because I look up my major sellers when I know their prices drop (they do like clockwork) I get to keep the items at high SSW or over and still make a decent profit. I have the same problem about items not being on SW but I can never keep them in stock so I just keep bumping the price up. My shop has only 1 of every item to keep people from buying me out constantly and I restock the over 1K items several times a day. Anything less than 1K is restocked once per day. I check prices each time I buy an item (but I may not change the price). I get a ton of SW sales each day [(about 75 but have had 110 today so far) sorry kirsty_to_stay if I put you in the red on SW hits!]. I only price items lowest on SSW if it is something I sniped and don't want to restock/keep in my shop or it was a 1/2 price day deal on an item I don't usually stock. I consider these promotional items to get people in my shop. If I didn't have the Random category I would use these slots as my off category items. _____________________________________________________ ~ Mimi's Ménagerie Avatars ~ http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=temps_bons&misc

I say stock what you feel comfortable with. Find a store that routinely has cheap prices(ahem shameless plug inserted here) and stick with that shop to restock and mark up the item. I want to sell as much as possible. I restock from the ssw--if I run into a day I don't want to restock--I don't--but the portal has made life that much easier for me so it's not so bad anymore Books!
