I'm a little confused... if items are selling out to quickly and it's too much restocking, can't you just raise your prices and sell less items but for more profit each? I thought this method worked. I already mark everything at 100% of whatever I buy it for (more than that if it's under 1000 nps).. I won't price it any higher than that. I came home to only 500k in my till today (hadn't checked it since I left at 5 am this morning) so it's pretty obvious that summer sales have died down. I don't have anything to worry about really.
