Mall Ethics (or lack of)

I think it would be interesting to open up a discussion on "mall ethics", this might even help the new mallers/malls not step on toes so to speak. So what are the "unspoken rules" of malling that you know of? :)

Or I might have just joined the Nursery like after it changed or something... (Probably... lol) A long time ago though... And Neopian Malls is new, and I just joined myself in like December or something. When I first joined, I had no idea it was a new mall LOL *lol* Is the Lucky Mega Mall new also? heh heh yeah. I lost all respect for one of those malls. Their mall leader sends me an apology that they have "accidentally" tried to recruit my mall members... AND THEN proceeds to [b]actually[/b] start sending recruit mails to them, thinking that my members will leave my mall to join some ridiculous new mall that's a complete rip off of TML's branching strategy and of Nursery's codes. Not to mention, they keep spamming the specify-mall page with "orphaned" branch entries :K Cleaned it several times and they keep doing it. I like the mall leader, she is actually a very nice person, but i think a wee bit inexperienced in ethics when it comes to malling :)

Isn't it just common sense and respect? That's a 'Duh, don't do that' kind of thing. They should know better than try to coax members away from their malls. I know nothing of the actual person doing this, I'm just basing my thoughts off what I've read on this thread.

I don't even do that in real life. I don't call up employees of other hotels and say "hey, wanna come work for me instead?" they have to come to me ;)

Dimitri, I have had that happen at my mall and the members usually let me know. They always pick on my larger size shops but it really angered me when it happened to my smaller malls too. I nm a nice little mall ethics nm and my boss laughs when I send them as he says I can say the nasty things so nicely. They usually apologize or ignore me but they USUALLY *cough* leave my members alone after that. Maybe it is a waste of time :o but I assume that it is a new mall and they just are unsure of the edict. I just make sure of it when I find out about it.
