Struggling to make a mall banner
Hello Hello! So, as some of you know, I struggled to make a shop banner for myself not long ago (actually got a nice one done monday and it's still not perfect)... With my graphic designer having neo issues (got frozen, is frustrated, prolly not getting her acct back and MAYBE rebuilding) I decided I would TRY to make a banner before asking her for a new one... So that's probably going to take me 1 to 2 weeks of long testing and trying and advices - which is why I'm here, if you want to help me :D This is JUST a size/positions setting, I chose a random font for now, just to set places... In MY opinion, buttons look.. Too big O.o But they look about the size of other "normal" mall banners so it's prolly just me... xD How's it look (size-wise)? I like it May ^^ size wise it seems perfect :D only reason buttons look huge is because there are no pictures inside the buttons :D if you add pictures into the buttons it would look a bit better tho still all in all i love it ^^ edit-btw what happened to the pharmacy button? O.o? Come check it out: http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=abrar1646&misc

Here's my two cents. The mall banner size is abit short. As abrar13 said, it's missing many main spots like wearables, toys for example. If this is a marketplace mall, you might want it abit longer so it will be more noticable in the hut. I personally dont like that shade of green. Maybe try something purple? Remember, your target audience is 9 to 13 year olds, where most of them are girls so try going for a neutral color like light blue-ish or purple/black.

It's not a Main Market Mall, it's a mini mall actually, shops averaging from size 70 to 200 so I think smaller would help, as in non-poluting the person's shop and such... And, well, I can always add the "toys" button and "werables" buttons, considering dark faerie and fire faerie sell those anyways, would just be a button/visual thing... Honestly, like I said, I'm scared of making it too big XD But *notes it down* ok, I'll try a few things :)

~ May ~ I like the Xmart banner because it's simple, indeed but I do not like the Land of Roo and all of it's kind, no offense to whoever is on it or likes it or made it, it's MY opinion, I just think they are.. big on the eyes x.x' They look big and so full of things, almost makes it hard to find the cattegory I want (and no I'm not putting 100 cattegories on the banner nuh huh) Abrar - my mall, my cattegories :) I understand that main mall shops might want a larger banner or banners to show on the hut but smaller shops shouldn't do it because people who come from the shop wizard (large part of the hits) might leave the shop if they have to scroll ages to get to the content Edit: Training includes neggs (training neggs) and food includes neggs (non-training neggs), I don't see a reason for "neggs" separate, same as I don't see a reason to separate "dublooons/codestones/bottled faeries" unless you are trying to just make your banner huge - no REAL purpose
smaller shops shouldn't do it because people who come from the shop wizard (large part of the hits) might leave the shop if they have to scroll ages to get to the content
I agree fully with this.. Smaller shops have 99.9% hits from the shop wiz and the big banner would serve no purpose. Button names are what the shops at this size can carry.. If they only deal in say Plushies then thats all the banner should read.. If they open up into toys later then the button name can easily be edited if you keep and work in layers on the original Size for a smaller shop I think = Looks Good ;)
