Neopets Recession or worse, Depression--you decide

Low shop sales seem to be a common thread right now. So would you say that we are in a recession or depression. Sales seemed to have tanked and no category has been spared. Share your thoughts and what do you think it will take to break the dry spell.

I stopped trying to understand the trends when Bokugan came on the stage a while ago. Before that is was an outburst of fighting card games that all seemed to copy 'Magic - the Gathering' in one form or another... I enjoy a good game of marbles or something but I've yet known anyone who can pull themselves away from things like facebook, these really flashy and time consuming games, etc, long enough to even understand how the game is played. You know neopets is in a depression when - Im have a training and luck shop in a main market mall at the top of my hut and and get less then 45 hits a day during the week. Schools been in 3 + wks now, and the fun of checking my til is declining :(

I'm dropping out of malling until this depression ceases. I had horrible sales, and I was always stocked and maybe less than 40 hits a day.
