HELP: Should I upgrade OR be in NB Advertisements?

Hello all,
Perhaps you could help me here with my dilemma. I'm contemplating with these options:
1) Upgrade my shop to 400 from 274.
OR
1) Participate in a 4 million advertisement.
----------------------------
1) Sell all of my rare items half priced for quick sell amounting to only around 10 million np instead of 20 million np for my shop upgrades.
OR
1) Not selling the rare items and retaining a small shop with few upgrades every month.

so far, I have sold 1 item today *unsure* and I've gotten 15 hits today lol. is anyone else having a bad day? And does anyone have any advice on how to counter these awful stats? :K thx

Getting Pushed Around...Advice?

Hey,
I recent got into the Island Market and was hoping to get some tips from the wonderful folks here on how to not get constantly pushed out of the hut I upgrade to (I've been pushed to the top half of other huts in the past ><). How does one combat this? It's a slow process to be pushed down...

There are some great NB Ads out there but they have huge waiting lists...... Does anyone have Clothing/Grooming/Wearables open on an ad with a weekday peak? Or is there anyone out there wishing to start a new ad. With all the mallers around here, I'm sure the ad will fill up quickly.
I'm not interested in starting a new ad, just looking for a spot on an ad. :)

Ok, i have a mall and the size requirement is size 45+ ..my freind just got an account 2 days a go ...btw the friend is like a friend from next door not a neofriend..and his shop size is 12...but its fully stocked and its look fuller than the size 45= shop is it fair for my to let him join?..hi shop..

Which category is better?

I'm looking to join a mall, either as furniture/gardening or magic/medicine/battle.
I'm a foodie originally (always been in the food/bakery category), so both of these categories I'm a bit unfamiliar with. I've heard that furniture/gardening is very profitable, but of course magic/medicine/battle is a faerie quests position and also attracts many people.
Which would be better?

I'm sure everyone's tried some, & I've seen a lot around the boards, but does anyone have any unconventional (or maybe so normal it's weird) ways that they attract visitors to their shop?
Maybe it was unintentional, maybe it was a cruel trick, either way, post 'em here!
I like to freak out people with the thread title being extremely eye-catching and sometimes half true (usually because of character limits), or start it off with a question, like "WANNA WIN MILLIONS?" and of course, who doesn't? :P
