NeoMallers Site News (important!) + scam

As some of you know, NeoMallers' database has been accessed through a staff account on this site. Using that account, they were able to disable the security set on this site and run a php code that essentially allowed them to upload a "Shell Tool" This allowed access into the file system (where all the neomallers files are stored). With access to the file system, they were able to retrieve the database password in addition to hijacking the main index.php file of this site which recorded password logins to this site as of March 8th and archived them into a text file.

As some of you noticed, the forums have gone some minor changes. (if you dont see the changes, hit CTRL+R or CTRL+F5)
All you have to do is go to MY ACCOUNT ( http://www.neomallers.com/user/ ), load that page once and the settings from your profile will sync with the table that holds all forum details. So you wont get that "gender unspecified" crap anymore
Moderators will also see a new quick link to the admin panel as well

A suggestion...on 'lost password'

So, its not just me whom lost my word. But actually I wrote down my info right as I was joining Neomallers. So, my idea suggestion is to have a set way for people to claim their password one time. Thats it. Just a one time usuage so that way its limited and if you lose it, your -beep-.
Its just a suggestion, you dont have to like it.

[NEW] NeoMallers Portal 9.5 FINAL

This is the final edition of the NeoMallers Portal Professional Edition. This means there will be no more new features except critical security updates. We will be migrating to a web based app. This also means that the Web Portal Lite will be dicontinued as well. However, rest assured that there will be means for porting both Portal Professional and Web Lite to the new system... whatever we decide to call it :P

I gave Dmitri a suggestion as to add a trading page.. / he never responded /
(as in we post our trade lots we have for sale, just in case anyone will come and offer, etc)
Possibly one that would be like: http://www.trading.neomallers.com/?, or to add it in the community section?

Buddy I have an Suggestion.
Could you make a portal for R99 Collectors like myself.
You copy/paste the items you have. And the portal will tell you which Items you have and Which Items you need.
Another bonus feature, when you search for the item, it will tell you how much you paid for it. Just like the normal shopping portal you made.
It will make myself and other r99 collectors, life easier to find out which items they are missing.

Figured I should let you all know about the recent slowness and other crapness. Anyways I just received word from my host that they are giving us new servers

Updates on the web based portal

I'm getting quite a number of inquiries about the new web portal so here are some answers to clear up some dust:
1.) Yes, it's in production. it will take on the name "Web Platinum", "Irisheyez' Portal (with a curse)" or something like that. Nothing's written in stone though.
2.) No there are no screenshots yet. first I have to get the skeleton up and running, then i add in the styles to make it lag abit.

It would be amazing if portal could further break down "The Amount Sold" to show how many of a specific item sold on a given day to see how well it sells xD

idea/suggestion: item graphs

maybe this would be useful as well:
why not be able to show a graph for each item in your database with all the buy prices/sell prices & profit made per month/week/...(whatever)
i thought this could be useful, bcz it shows the flow for each item and based on this you can decide whether to price your item just a little bit higher than normal/price it not too high
what do you think?
