NeoMallers Portal 8.0 released!

Please note the core is not avaliable since my internet crapped out while uploading it at 99.6%. Just 20kb more (out of the total 5000kb) and it would be fine.
I'll upload it some other since it takes forever. lol
Here are some of the new features:

Yes, thats right dear reader, this brain-dead maller has an idea! I will let you in on it...in a little while, gotta have some suspense ;)...*please count to 20* are you all curious and a nervous wreck, waiting to hear what my idea is? if not, please count to 20 again. Ready? OK, here goes: Dmitri, I think you should put a male/female bit on posts like they do on neopets. Did you know pip is a boy?!? Ok, I've enabled them again since it's abit of pain to copy and paste but be careful when clicking on links, especially from those you dont know.
Consider this for example:
[url=http://www.neopets.com]http://www.google.com[/url]
http://www.google.com
One of them will take you to google, while the other to neopets.com. Always hover your mouse over the link, and then check where it leads to, in the status bar of your browser.
If this causes too many problems, I'll disable them again.

I am new to having a shop of any size. currently Im 175 and have about 2000 items in my SDB. I have been reading some of the technical information on how to manage my shop but it is a bit over my head. please help

NeoMallers Portal Final Edition

The 2009 final version of NeoMallers Portal (version 8) is now approaching release. It uses a new database system that runs up to 10 times faster (based on speed tests on my computer) The comments will be fully searchable and you will be able to directly edit each item too (For all those mallers selling stuff at < 1000 NP)
There are a couple of minor performance tweaks and bug fixes.
Attached are the new interface. Hopefully it's easier to navigate and designed to eliminate confusions since i got rid of the boxes but those of you who like the boxes, they can be brought back.

NeoMallers Portal - convert it to Web-based?

Ok i think i'm getting tired of compatibility issues and i think windows 7 might have issues running it (maybe) so i'm thinking of porting it to php. aka it'll be web based.
Would you be interested/prefer this method? For now, all i can think is you can access them from anywhere you want... but some functions like the graphing tool (and maybe customers) might be lost

A better "search"?

Any chance that the searches in the Portal could return items *containing* what you enter, instead of starting with what you enter?
For example, if I want to look at all my codestones, I have to type "Bri" to find it, then "Vo" to get that one, etc.
But if I could enter "codestone" and it gives me all of them *containing* that word, that would be awesome!! :D
And if this is just a setting Im missing and its already there, Ill need to kick myself x_X

Waiting List

Hey... What about a waiting list... (in the portal)... for items that you are planing to buy, but dont have the NP yet or something. I put them into the database... but then every time i look for items, that are out of stock, i get 50 items, that i haven't actually stocked yet... but want to soon...

Submitting Shop Front/Sales History/Profits etc...

When you submit your sales history, it adds up all the profits and such you have made per item...
When you enter your shop front info though, it just tells you if the items are sold out or not... It doesnt actually calculate the number sold, the NP earned or the profits made...
My suggestion would be to process this information as well. It doesnt happen too often (at least for me) that i manually take an item out of my shop. I put it in, and wait for it to be sold. And I make quite a lot of profits, on items priced under 1,000 NP.
