NeoMallers Portal - convert it to Web-based?

Ok i think i'm getting tired of compatibility issues and i think windows 7 might have issues running it (maybe) so i'm thinking of porting it to php. aka it'll be web based. Would you be interested/prefer this method? For now, all i can think is you can access them from anywhere you want... but some functions like the graphing tool (and maybe customers) might be lost

I like the way it is right now.. unless if you find a way to transfer all the info (comments, prices, etc.etc.) to the web verison =D

*cough* what about the privacy issue? will my sales and data remain private? o_x I actually like having it on my computer. I don't always have internet so its cool to have stuff offline.. However the portability and easy of use of a web based app would be really cool. I wouldn't have to worry about linux compatibility issues. Overall my vote goes to stand alone app on my PC. (Is resilient to change!)

i would prefer to keep the standalone program. i already have too many darned tabs, and what if (gasp!) neomallers ever went down for any period of time?

There will be both versions of the portal but the web one is going to take longer simply because i have to watch for security and create a verification input that the inputted junk is actually sales history junk and not database drop commands ;) And users will be sharing a database so i gotta make sure one person's stuff dont end up in another person's etc etc. As for privacy, no one else will have access to it except maybe admin but we got better things to do than going through a 270k+ entry database :P --------------------------------------------- Celebrate [color=red]Xmas[/color] at [color=green]Xmart[/color]. Well I just contacted my host, and it does seem that i need to upgrade (and i probably will have to eventually) to power the new sales history portal: the prices arent too bad since we can get a dedicated server for $70 a month. but that's $896 a year.
