Installing portal on windows 7

i have been trying for 2 days to install the portal on my new computer which uses windows 7 (like all new computers these days...) after searching this site for answers and trying to install it many different ways i figured id ask for help :)

if you want Dmitri to help you, you're gonna have to give him way more information... for starters... what are the errors your getting?? Screenshots and other information might be helpful

Have you read the other post?...http://www.neomallers.com/node/2036 Are you using the core download? Have you tried save as to your desktop instead of choosing open?

I'm gonna have to test this myself on Windows 7 but for starters, trying running the install program as administrator (right click) --------------------------------------------- Celebrate [color=red]Xmas[/color] at [color=green]Xmart[/color]. Ok I;m uploading a new core package. It should complete in about a minute from this post. Try it out and see. i think i found my issue.... i have windows 7 home premium not windows 7 professional

By that screenshot it still says it is coming from your temp file. Now that he has fixed it try using save as and save it to your desktop. Click the one you save to the desktop to install, not any download short cuts.
