Installing portal on windows 7

i have been trying for 2 days to install the portal on my new computer which uses windows 7 (like all new computers these days...) after searching this site for answers and trying to install it many different ways i figured id ask for help :)

I got it to work :) I switched back to IE (I only used it the first time and was getting the same errors, so didn't think to bother), and it woked using the core install :)

No, it worked. It's just that firefox didn't like it (variable = browser :p) I don't have the talent needed to hack :p

By hack, i meant manually registering the DLL files :P And ok great. it appears that firefox caches the installer file for a bit (i guess that's why the browser is faster than IE for example) --------------------------------------------- Celebrate [color=red]Xmas[/color] at [color=green]Xmart[/color]. lol the only time I normally use IE is when I've either done a clean install or have got a new comp and need to download firefox :p That's why it took me so long to use it again - I usually don't even think about it :p
