What are you reading right now?

I'm quite a bookworm, as i'm sure many other mallers are too, so I figured this might make for an interesting topic to just share what we are currently reading and recommend great reads. I myself am currently reading the woman in white for a bookclub I joined. Really enjoying it so far, I quite like classics, and was surprised when this book came up in the club as i'd never heard of it. I finished reading Dracula in swedish yesterday, didn't find it as enjoyable as I thought I would. Not sure whether it was because my swedish still leaves a lot to be desired or whether it really just wasn't so good. So what are you reading? or what have you read recently?

I'm currently reading Drinking: A Love Story by Caroline Knapp. It's an autobiography of sorts but I find her incredibly insightful and intelligent. I only bought this book after reading her "appetites: why women want what they want" where she looks at women who go to the extremes in weight, shopping and sex. It's fascinating, easy to read and isn't just a bunch of feminist ideas, it actually makes sense! I'm also reading Broken by Daniel Clay which I am also really enjoying. It reminds me quite a bit of Lullabies for Little Criminals though I think that I like that book better admittedly.

Currently reading a book called The Murder Business about how the Media screws up investigations and prevents justice from being served. Got it for Christmas to read for fun, but I'm taking 2 media classes next semester so I'm hoping it may be useful then too!

I couldn't find anything to read right before Christmas, so I started on Stephen King's Dark Tower series for the second time, which I never thought I'd do. I read it all in a row the first time through (probably about a year ago) and just wanted it to be over already by the end, so I really don't know why I started it again. I have to say I did enjoy picking up clues that I missed the first time around, now that I know the story and know how it ends. Anyway, I'm now on book 6 of 7, Song of Susannah.

Ive been reading several books by Joanne Harris lately... I really love Blackberry Wine... ------- Wearables and Backgrounds: http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=_always_lonely_ :D

I have school today, (current time3:34 AM) and I have to read this book called the cay. Not my favorite book. Its set in World War two, I think. Its about this black dude and blind kid stranded on an island with a cat named SoupyDog. (What a stupid name for a cat.*lol* )
Lol im reading the 3 musketeers and although quite kiddish im into this series of books called the demonata by darren shan
my daughter wants me to read the demonata she assures me I would like it...however she also asked me to read the last Olympians series so I am not sure I trust her judgment

Rofl, at first I thought you meant The Three Musketeers was kiddish, but then I realized you meant the second series. :O The Musketeers certainly don't qualify for kiddish, unless its some rewritten or abridged version, after all. :O Are you reading the main musketeer book, or one of the others in the series? ------------------------------------------------------------------- ~~ Come visit my map shop ~~

I just finished the Prophet of Dark wood a few days ago... I wonder if I got that title wrong... 3rd book in the City of Ember series. --- Step outside, take a breath of fresh air, then look down to see if you have a new text message.

I found my LOTR book (the second one) that has been missing for months and I'm back reading it.
