I didnt buy too many books. Just made full use of the library and went there like crazy - borrowing a ton, returning a ton. Rinse and repeat. Good ol days. Now i'm just stuck reading textbooks
LOL Dmitri there is no less than 7 library books in our appartment right now, I have 4 and Chris has 3.
I've read the first Steig Larsson book, I really loved it, contained everything I love, including journalism which is something I myself want to go into. I've recently seen the first two films (in swedish) I believe the third film comes out soon too. Normally I like to read the book before I see the film, so bleh, i'll have to leave it a few years before I pick up the books. Hopefully then my swedish will be good enough for me to read the books in swedish. So much better to read books in the original language when you can. Especially these books, i've read around that the translation is a bit iffy in places. I know the spelling of jail threw me in the first book, I had to ask my swedish boyfriend what the word meant *blushes*

I spent far too much time in the library when I was in high school and college! I tried to make it look as if it was school related. I was attempting to be an undercover nerd and failing miserably at it!
I think the most stellar idea to come out of the last two decades is book stores with comfy seats, sweets and coffee! So much more comfortable than the library and the books smell better! You know that "library" smell that is great but not-great all at the same time? Now I live under a rock but when I lived in a large city I took my children to Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million or Borders once a week at least! We could drink, eat, whisper and read in a comfy chair for hours -- ABSOLUTE HEAVEN!!

I started swapping books on paperbackswap.com several months ago. I buy books basically for the price of postage for the ones I trade. They have packaging/postage that you print out and all you have to do is saran wrap the book then use the wrapper you printed out. You get one-for-one credit for the books you ship and they start you off with some free credits. Most people ship the books I request pretty quickly and the selection is pretty good. You can also wish list books that are not currently available and have them automatically shipped to you when someone posts it.

Should I shame you for creating an off-topic board? Despite being in the right forum? No! You hypocrite....how dare you treat me that way when you do the same thing?
General Chat - NON NEOPETS RELATED
Because every forum needs a spam, err general board. This forum is for topics that do not belong in any other categories (such as real life stuff, favorites tv shows, etc)
*lol* do what you like you are only shaming yourself!
Yeah Jathina i've heard of that site, not made use of it myself though since most my books are in England still so i've been a library geek mainly.
I've been a geek on the site goodreads recently. I like recording what I read there, what I own and whatnot. You can also enter giveaways, there is loads :) great way to get exposure to new material.

No, you don't get it. I have created boards in the forum before, each one being scrutinized by the OP! Every time I come on, and want to chat, she has to complain. When I've created it in the right board!
ROFL then file a complaint against me, don't go around spamming the boards ;)
I'm sure Dmitri would love that 0:-)
