What are you reading right now?

I'm quite a bookworm, as i'm sure many other mallers are too, so I figured this might make for an interesting topic to just share what we are currently reading and recommend great reads. I myself am currently reading the woman in white for a bookclub I joined. Really enjoying it so far, I quite like classics, and was surprised when this book came up in the club as i'd never heard of it. I finished reading Dracula in swedish yesterday, didn't find it as enjoyable as I thought I would. Not sure whether it was because my swedish still leaves a lot to be desired or whether it really just wasn't so good. So what are you reading? or what have you read recently?

I like reading scary stuff, but i've not tried anything of a really scary nature I don't think. Maybe I should grab something from the library soon. Whenever I watch something scary on tv though I feel kinda freaked and cling to Chris, so maybe a really scary book will do that to me too *lol* Meanwhile I am still reading the woman in white. A truly great read, and so accessible for a classic. Going to get back to it now actually :P It's pretty long, feels like i've been reading it for years. ___________ Kirsty, aka evil super mod Sniper, maller, restocker Silverdragon siggy stealer Best wearables shop owner ever!

That was based on a true story: http://www.amityvillemurders.com/ Yeah, if you like being scared there are tons of them out there and Stephen King is a good place to start (maybe). I haven't read his books so I don't know about the nasty part but his stories are well though-out and a favorite of my mothers who is a voracious reader. She reads mostly spy novels now though, LOL! ~ Mimi ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ Mimi's Ménagerie ~ http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=temps_bons&misc

Oh gosh :O that doesn't strike me as something a 9 year old should be reading. I just skimmed over a few parts of that site, gruesome stuff. When I was 9 I was reading things like goosebumps and ann of green gables lol! ___________ Kirsty, aka evil super mod Sniper, maller, restocker Silverdragon siggy stealer Best wearables shop owner ever!

Yeah, needless to say I got that book from my mom's bag of books she was giving to my aunt. My parents wouldn't let me watch the movie with them when it came on TV so.... I read the book. Looking back on it it was horrible I had done it without permission so I couldn't really ask for pity or hugs when I was too afraid to sleep without incriminating myself. I read another book about a satanic coven that was even worse.... I can't remember the name of the book though. I was a mischievous child who loved to read anything! ~ Mimi ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ Mimi's Ménagerie ~ http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=temps_bons&misc

I'm reading Brisingr by Christopher Paolini It's the 3rd book in the Eragon Series

I read The Amityville Horror when I was still in middle school however there are debates as to if it is indeed based off a true story...I didn't come across this until I googled the haunting in Connecticut though because that is also suppose to be based on a true story

Goosebumps LOL. Fun stuff. My fav was 'Welcome to Dead House' xD "One day at Horror Land"/Monster Blood was pretty good too Boxcar Children (which my sister introduced me to it) was the other one i was reading. I remember borrowing like 20 books at once from the library - an "expedition" to empty out the library *lol* Such silliness.

My daughter reads the books and we rent the movies all the time. That is about as creepy/scary as I let them go at their age. I enjoy the movies too. ~ Mimi ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ Mimi's Ménagerie ~ http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=temps_bons&misc

I read as many of them as I could and I remember having a dream about being in an amusement park seeing weird animals and weirder people on the rides *lol* That actually sounds like a good thread :P What was the last dream you remember having/ most memorable one.
