I changed it, until you make another dumb generalization again. Also, please don't confuse this site with neopets, I agree - some words are harsh, but pg-13 language is acceptable in my opinion. I wouldn't let any of my kids post or read a forum period. Teenagers use those words anyway, even if you delude yourself into thinking they don't. Welcome to the real internet :P

It's not just kids that may have an issue with it though. This thread proves that. There are obviously people here that it bothers so why do it? It's just common courtesy really. There's plenty of other words that can be used instead. Suspensions/Warnings/bans will only happen when it's clearly excessive. and yes this site is targetted towards older people but the rules still apply - they're just not as strict as neopets. As for teenagers, to be honest, I'm only allowed to let 13 yrs+ post. As soon as I find out that an user is under 13, I am required by law to disable their account =/ But i know some younger users use the counters so what I might do is create a new user category for those under 13. Aka cannot post on forums.

Kids started swearing around age 8 when I was a kid. And my kids started doing it about the same time. They lie and tell you that they don't, but I've walked through a schoolyard before and they were all swearing like sailors. :( People condone it which supposedly makes it okay.
