Main Market: Get there slowly or make the leap?

So I originally had this goal of getting to Main Market by the end of the summer, going slowly, doing occasional upgrades. But many people have been talking about great summer sales. So Ive been considering if it would be advantageous for me to make the leap to main market now, and maximize my summer sales. I could sell off I couple gallery items to fund the leap and they would be hidden tower items so that I could rebuy them at about the same price (SoS and Pbs). Another thing to consider is that I will be staying in the same mall (which isnt main market, but min size is 390 I think). So I wont get any advantage of main mallers linking to me, it would just be my shop moving up into a main hut. Any comments /suggestions/etc are welcome =)

lol, even if malls are a dime a dozen, I wanna stay in good ones, cause lots of them die quickly :P Thanks for the advice everyone! I cleaned out my gallery a little and put a bunch of UBs up in trades to start on the upgrades If anyone is interested... :P I currently have these trades up: Pink Snorlkin Draphly Seasonal Altador String Lights Pink Warf White Weewoo Darigan Paint Brush Im putting little things in my shop as well, but I cant put too much at a time with my small category :P

Indeed :P There are lots and lots of malls out there but some of them are just plain awful.

Definitely make the jump to main market. You're probably going to have to switch categories if you want to get into a good mall and hopefully you can wait it out and take a better spot when a member leaves. Regardless, an investment into main market will be far greater than a retiring ht item, seeing as they don't retire tomorrow. :) Oh and neoboutique has cards/collectables open. :D

What I've been doing is jumping from the top of a hut to the top of the next hut (spooky) until I get to MM.

yea, when I upgrade, I usually do it to get to the top of an MI hut... but then things shift around so much, I dont stay there long anyways :P

Wow! This thread really had me thinking. I also have the ultimate goal of having a main market sized shop and being in a main market mall but my spot is extremely rare to find open, even in very small malls. But I've had it for so long. (in malls and in independent shop keeping) I guess I could sell me BD set (39 mil). That would get me straight to at least somewhere in the 650+ but I'm scared. :(
