I'm not trying to stir anything here i'm really not. I'm actually offering advice, whether you read it that way or not since i'm in xmart is your problem. Anyway, my main concern is that I can't see how on earth the interlinking system would work with your particular mall setup. I'm not that familiar with your mall, did I read something about there now being a main market branch? My concern would be that if you have main market people interlinking to none main, you probably are not going to keep those main market mallers for very long. As a main market maller, I know i'd be seriously PISSED, at having to link to multiple mini mallers in my category. Indeed any maller feeling like that would have every reason to. Since the mini malls are not going to be pulling anywhere near the same level of traffic as the main mall. On top of that, many that shop in mini malls, are price aware, they are buying off the wiz, and may then look around for other items which they deem to be near to wiz price enough to buy. Therefore if they follow the link to main, see the prices, they will most likely either leave or just head back to your shop. Meanwhile the people who shop in main, might follow the interlink, end up in the mini malls and see the prices are so much cheaper and go on a shopping spree. Therefore leading to win win for the mini mallers, and leading to some really pissed off low sales with the main mallers. The only reason we (xmart) can pull off the interlink without hurting each malls sales is because each mall could easily stand alone in main market. Each mall has well positioned members, with years of experience, and who know how to best advertise their shop to get what they want from it. I feel that this just wouldn't apply to your group of malls. You said some very smart things there kirsty. I actually have to agree with everything you just said. Again, we were just brainstorming for ideas at the first pages of this topic. We were not focussing on anything specific. In fact, I don't know if our mall leader has read anything of this subject at all :P

Yeah people arent seeing the big picture. As i explained to someone, it's like web browsers. It's a concept. Firefox and Opera. But if opera went ahead and created something like firetent and used the same color/features/icons, then we're in trouble. Same deal with neopets/subeta/marapets. It was mentioned, however, that the mall managers indeed were going to ask Dmitri so this portion of the argument should be closed (and already has been I think). - Sabrina (this mall's owner) and Cris (Nursery Mall owner) parted was in a respectful manner, therefore I assume the similarities in the branch page layouts were not just copied without proper permissions. I dont know if I should feel proud for our mall getting so much attention, or... I dont know... Im just quite amused. I never actually read any of this, until Laila told me to read post 94 (thanks a lot davymuncher for the summary)... so thats ALL I read... Id just like to add to the end, Im NOT planing to link the 4 branches directly... because im too lazy (have thought about it, because the Nursery has that... and I was with them for a long time before...)
