Hello, I haven't been on the forums before, so I apoligise if I have done something wrong. Anyway, I'm a part of the Faerieland Branch of the Neopian Malls. We are quickly expanding, but have a few mall openings in all branches. If you are interested, please notify _always_lonely_. Wow this is really eye opening. I am a memeber of the LD section of the mall and well I have some food for thought on the issue. Please dont take any of this as trying to stir things up or anything. This is the 4th mall that I have been part of. The first 2 went under reasons that dont matter right now. The 3rd mall I owned and ran for over 2 yrs. It was long hard work listen to reasons why ppl didnt stock shops and so on so I closed the mall. Im am very impressed with our mall boss and all her hard work. So that said. I makes me wonder when people say that using the "linking" idea is stealing as I guess all malls are then stolen as they were the thought and creation of the first mall made. Many of the "banners" malls look very similar and are hard to tell one mall from the other. So as a coding designer myself why would it be stealing if I saw the idea liked it and created my own code to make it work for my mall, user lookup, pet page or what ever? If you create the code and the designs for it your self its only the concept that you built upon. Sort of like writing a book or a song someone had to be first. The rest just followed. And lastly if our mall boss figures she has the time and energy to do this well then Ive got her back on it why not try it or not. its her choice. if it works great and if it doesnt then its her choice to move forward with it or not. No im not kissing up here just stating facts. oh and the reason why mine and the first two malls closed was disagreement amongst the ranks sure pulls the spirit of the adventure down for the person running the show. those are my thought you know where to find me if you want to ream me out or pat me on the back for them.
