Got email yesterday they are not returning my husband's or my youngest son's account.
Justin (my son) was tearing up yesterday. What do you tell a 12 year old boy...someone broke into your account and the company won't give your account back. How wrong does that sound! I am SO upset. He wrote a letter that I am going to scan and email to them.
Charlotte said in the letter that my husband's account had stuff in it that we know is not his. I don't understand just take the stuff out and give him his **** account back. He spent money on neocash cards for his gosh darn pets. He says what is the point of playing....and won't be returning. I can not argue with him. He rarely plays....he bounces between neopets and world of warcraft.
Why are neopets punishing people for playing when someone else gets into their accounts. I guess the next step will be going to BBB. Sigh...

I lost my account again on sunday but because I caught the person in there this time, changed everything including my email, it is not looking very good for me getting my account back. I was a devoted daily player, and am just about ready to give up :( Starting over twice in less than a month is more than anyone deserves.
I even went as far as providing tnt with the ip log for my gmail account that was attached to neopets showing my ip and the hackers (they took control of that email completely but gmail was very cooperative and with a little verification quickly gave me back access to that account)

That's odd. When I got unfrozen, i had crap loads of scammed stuff in my account and they didnt even bother returning those items to their owners even after I wrote to them a couple times.
Luckily, I was able to trace the items back to their original owners manually.

With the CGer problem are any add-ons actually being proven to stop it?
I know a lot of people are saying not to use IE but I wasn't here when it was really bad and I haven't had anything happen since I've been back to my account at least.

Add-ons need to be configured properly in order to actually work. if you just install it, then it wont work

I was told on charter that using ff only for neo, with noscripts and keyscrambler, along with superantispyware, that I should be covered. Definitely wasnt the case. I also run avg for antivirus.

I have since reformatted my pc to factory specs in case malware was involved. I have finally heard that my pet and nc were being returned to my account and they would give it back once I gave them my verification info for a second time. Is there anything else I can do to prevent this from happening again?
Dont know if this makes a difference, but my new pc will be here friday and has windows 7, are there any more security features with that vs xp.

What do you mean by that? How do you configured an add-on in mozzila firefox?

No windows 7, windows vista, xp, mac, they all dont make any difference. Most of the CGing is done by a combination of javascript and adobe flash exploits (last time i checked, this was through the NC mall ad)
