Struggling to make a mall banner

Hello Hello! So, as some of you know, I struggled to make a shop banner for myself not long ago (actually got a nice one done monday and it's still not perfect)... With my graphic designer having neo issues (got frozen, is frustrated, prolly not getting her acct back and MAYBE rebuilding) I decided I would TRY to make a banner before asking her for a new one... So that's probably going to take me 1 to 2 weeks of long testing and trying and advices - which is why I'm here, if you want to help me :D This is JUST a size/positions setting, I chose a random font for now, just to set places... In MY opinion, buttons look.. Too big O.o But they look about the size of other "normal" mall banners so it's prolly just me... xD How's it look (size-wise)? ~ May ~ Ok. *makes notes* I had someone tell me the font was too cursive before so I WAS considering to change, but not to a plain font as those scare me, but to a.. less cursive.. font XD A nice "in-between" I was gonna ask, how can I make my main border look less pixelated cause it doesn't look smooth and Im' not sure what I add to make it smooth x.x' And, ok. edges, maybe smaller items... Faerie quest spots named *nods* *takes notes* I should be able to complete it tonight :D

May I suggest Monotype Corsiva, if its installed on your computer. Not sure how it would look on the banner, but its one of my favorite "in-between-fonts-for-noob-and/or-children-who-can't-or-can't-be-bothered-to-read-cursive" fonts :P Just a suggestion anyway. Ohh yuck :P Monotype and comic sans are the fonts i hate the most. Unless someone pointed a pistol at me while i was making graphics, i would never use it :P

~ May ~ Ok. you can call me dumb, but, really, I just found out how to add that "button" effect to the buttons.. lol So they look popping out? And it was SO easy that I got myself thinking: "was my head inside my ass all this time that I never saw this feature?" XD

~ May ~ Ok. I changed a lot, in my opinion XD I changed a few items, made some smaller, so it helps, changed the font to my favorite ever - bauhaus - cause it's not plain but it's not cursive... Added a bit glow here and there, a bit shadow here and there, took out 2 cattegories - pharmacy and gifts, cause, quite honestly, they're useless XD Added wearables instead of pharmacy :) Looking on photobucket, the previous one with cursive font looks less crowded cause the font is lighter x.x' lol So I'll prolly keep on working (and yeah sorry I'm STILL bothering you people with this but.. you know.. I prefer the bottom one alot more :P And i used hearts because of the target audience ;)
