Potentially going solo (shop advice)

I am considering going solo, and I'd love advice.
Why? I'm in a great Mall right now, but
A. My shop is way too small to be 'malling' right now (I am learning from reading all the posts you guys make!)
and
B. My Mall has gone totally inactive.
*No one updates their banners. I was shop of the month in October, and no one updated their banner.
*We've got people with banners that are months old
*People aren't updating stock
*People that left & havn't been removed.

Shop Category: Avatars

I have the avatars button in my mall, but i haven't really been stocking any avatar items in my shop..
I was wondering if I should setup a petpage for buyable avatar items and link from and to my shop. I am not sure if its worth the effort or not. Anyone here have some experience with selling avatar items?

Anyone know of a good guide for being a mall leader? lol
I've been part of malls and I've been a mall leader for many years, but I want to do better and make my mall the best. (a bit cheesy.. yes I know).
I was wondering if anyone had some cool tips, some obvious stuff that I might have missed?

I'm starting a mall and I wanted to know the average size shop of people looking for malls so
that I can figure out what minimum shop size I want to choose for my mall. Any tips would be appreciated.

I have been doing wearables for a month. It is great profit, even more that i restock the clothing shop. The category though just isnt that interesting for me. Is there any other categories that do well? My stock has gradually dwindled and im just not motivated to keep it stocked up. I am about ready to upgrade to the spooky market and want to find something i am happy with that i can stick to.

Does Island Market Really Make a Difference Compared to Spooky?

I'm currently about 750k away from the very very bottom of the Island marketplace (with another 800k, I'd be able to upgrade to the last hut there but be almost broke) XD
Since arriving at Spooky Market at the end of June, I haven't gotten a single hit from there :(
Just wondering if I should go hardcore in the next few days and upgrade (even though I'll be broke) or hold onto the nps for a little while.
How many hits do you usually get from the Island Marketplace (compared to the 0 in spooky at least xD)
I have a wearables shop so I should get a few, or at least I hope...

So I decide that I was going to use a new banner to advertise my shop on the notice board adds, so I grab a premade from here.
I posted about 100 adds... Then, I notice that I didnt change the username on there to my own.

Hi guys, consider me the noob with the level 12 shop that wandered aimlessly by...
As most of you probably know, upgrading is not cheap. Getting to size 600 costs about 36 million, and making it to 800 will set you back 64m.
What I'm curious about is for those of you who have spent so much upgrading, has your shop actually made the money back yet?

Opinion on categorie change

I'm currently stocking collectables but i'm not really likeing the profit and its alot of work. Theres so many things to stock too. and to be really successful you need a huge shop to stock all the collectables and i just dont have the np to spend on upgradeing to a great size lol
But, i'm thinking about changeing to Neggs/maps.
think it would be a good change? or would hurt me? opinions and help would be greatly appreciated. thanks :)
