that editorial question is referring to something completely different, as far as i can tell. that's talking about having someone restock items from the neopian shops and then selling them to you. i don't see how that's at all related?

ahh, alright. i read that one, and that makes sense, too. for some reason, i thought that this thread was related to the one about emptying out sdbs, and assumed that that was what the person meant by this. now i can see why it's against the rules.

A bulk stocker / buyer is an arrangement between two players (or more). One sits in the neopian shops and rs's an item and then puts 30 of that one item in their shop at 10 pm everyday for some agreed price. The maller / bulk buyer comes at 10 PM every day and gets all 30 of them and thus saves him/herself a lot of time in the neopian shops! It's cheating because one player (the buyer) is getting items at Neopian shop prices without doing the work plus they are making the profit when the items sell in their shop. The bulk stocker (usually a noob) is getting 30 X 200NPs profit (or whatever) and thinks that is wonderful profit so they don't mind especially since the items are "pre-sold" so there is little risk. There was a mall page looking for Bulk Stockers for each mall shop in their mall when I first started playing neopets that introduced me to this concept. This is VERY different from me SSW an item and buying 300 of them.
