Stocks are very profitable, I think Dmitri's post is a good proof.
You need to buy 1000 stocks @ 15 nps/each of one kind everyday. Thats about 15k each day, you can easily get this from dailies/playing games. Only sell stocks that are profitable, never sell for a loss.
Some people sell when the price of the stock doubles to 30, some at 60 or higher. Best way would be to sell half at 30, which means you recovered all that you have invested and the rest is pure profit.
Slowly you will build up your portfolio to a couple million and you will have a steady stream of profit coming from your stocks.
ps neodaq is a good resource on stock historical data.
[quote=Dmitri]Yeah and keep a track of it too :P

Ya know, I think a stock market tracker on this site might be good. Then i can ditch my excel spreadsheet lol

Yes, they're my main income, funding my shop upgrades.

I would think with the stockmarket avatar a lot more people would be interested in starting to use it and then once they get the shares they'll see the profit behind it.
Slowly building up my portfolio now and not really worrying about selling. I figure I'll keep with 60 as a selling point with now and once I get more shares I'll start doing the increment thing that seems to be a big tip on most guides.

How much in stock do you have to have to fund upgrades--jeez. Every once and a while I buy stock--but usually sell it off when I want an upgrade or find a way to great price on something and can't afford it.

I suggest you create a stable foundation of money first before venturing in the Stockmarket. Since Stockmarket is all about investing - meaning you should not spend it anytime you feel like it. You should be diligent and patient when you want to earn lots through it ;)

You know a lot about the stock market - a lot more than me.
What price do you sell at? I don't need to sell soon to make money so I was just wondering since I've heard 30, 40, 60, 90, etc.
I figured to do 60 since it seemed like all stocks would get to that, but are more stocks rising more or are there certain ones I should hold out on until they reach higher sine they're more prone to do that in the past?

Not sure about the certain ones but I am quite sure that there ARE stocks that shoot up to the high ones (70s, 80s, 90s, 100s).
60 is actually a good selling point (you earn three times what you have paid - say 15k). It has been my selling point last few years. It's a good thing not to sell everything when your stock has reached the selling point. Leave a percentage of it to stay to anticipate any higher raises.
Now that I don't go online in neopets that often, my selling point now is at 70. For example, I have 10k stocks in a certain company. If it reaches 70, I sell 5k of the stock and keep the other 5k to see if it will rise.
If it does, ex. 75-80 ( I will sell 3k stocks, leaving 2k stocks if it rises to 85-100).
