Ok so I've sold either Books or Food pretty much the entire time I've been malling and they are definitely my favorites. So I've come to find your opinion. Which is better? I'm close to MM if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance.
I would say food because there is more a "demand" for it.
A lot of noobs are only concerned with feeding their pets because they show up as hungry, but with books they may not want to spend just to make their pets smart.
Their both good categories though good luck with whatever you decide :)

Food all the way! Many newbies want their pets bloated resulting in the pets becoming happier. And just like Pip said, food is always in demand. Some people never want their pets to get hungry. O_o
I'd say food. Books is one unpopular spot so you gotta wiz price by alot to get some sales.
@slightlyking - think of it this way: why on earth would some random kid on the internet give YOU free stuff? Sure there might be some but in most cases, it's a scam. If it's too good to be true, then avoid it.

I'm going to also agree with food. I've done it right until just a couple of days ago and I loved it! Something that I always kept in mind when stocking for food was the visual aspect of it. Newbies will see that they're pet is hungry but they dont want to buy omelettes, they want to buy the pretty faerie milkshake. Whereas most books look very similar.

I'm waiting to see on this one! I've had a successful book shop in the past, it got me from pretty much nowhere to spooky rather easily. After a neo-hiatus for a few months, I'm back and trying out food. It's always intrigued me. We'll see how it goes! *crosses fingers*
I also had a sucessful bookshop a loong time ago and it did well for me (although I priced everything super low and sold like everything each night but I made alot). If I had to choose between the two, I'd pick Books. My past Food experiences were not so good, although I just think it's me lol.
