I think page numbers are good because people know how many pages there are to look at. I give up looking after 5-6 pages in a shop if I don't know how many pages there are because I just wonder when it will end, sad but true! I think larger shops can get by with charging more too. The larger I make my shop the better the over-priced items sell (1np items selling for 100np -- can't keep them in stock!). Also, I have my page numbers go directly to the merchandise so the player doesn't have to scroll through the mall banner, the shop banner, my counters, my shopkeeper, rada, rada, rada on each page. This is the primary reason I don't shop at main market malls -- too much scrolling. If mm shops had the page links go to their merchandise I'd look at every page in their shops! I have wrist problems so it literally hurts to scroll that much at times! At the moment I only have 1 page of stock in my shop *lol* But when I used to stock Books/School, I would have a big portion of text advertising "SCHOOL SUPPLIES ON PAGE 3!" This was because books pushed nearly all of the school items back two pages, so people might look at my first page and assume that I didn't have any school supplies in stock.

I like page numbers too. It probably was a coincidence that your shop increased in sales w/o the page numbers. It'd be really strange of people so say, "This page doesn't have shop numbers, I think I'll buy more." and vice versa. :P
