The bolded part is the number you need to look for. Just look up the item on the shop wiz and enter the shop of someone selling it. You look for the buy_obj_info_id number in the address window. The ID number is usually five digits long. Your link will also need to include the price you're selling the item for. So if I plugged in that address above and made a link off a pic, it would go straight to the item in the store for 450 nps. The user would still need to click the item itself to buy it. The link just takes the user directly to the item so it's faster than searching through the whole store.
Pip, feel free to right click and look at my page source if you need to. I used a guide called Lissa Explains It all (you can google it) to learn how to make tables.
you dont actually have to put the cost in your links. That becomes really annoying if you run a petpage guide of your shop and you'd have to change it everytime you change a price. You can just put
buy_cost_neopoints=99999
or
buy_cost_neopoints=?
I think that works too, and when a user clicks in your shop, it shows the correct price, not 99999 or whatever you put =)
You can search the item on the wiz and click to go into a shop to buy it. And in your browser address bar, there is a link and it should have part of it being "id=12345" and 12345 would be your item ID.
Dunno if theres a better / faster way. I think you can get them from your SDB as well
I don't think you can get it from ur SDB, plus then you'd have to move the items to your SDB, get the item ID, then move it to your shop. The SW works (and can also get you some snipes along the way :P), another way is use the status bar. (On IE8 its on View - Toolbars - Status Bar), then when you hover over the image in your shop front you should see a link that looks a bit like this on the status bar:
neopets.com/buy_item.phtml blahblahblahblah obj_info_id=(Item ID)
hope that helps :)
I've seen a lot of shops with featured items in their shop front where if you click it it opens up a link to buy it?
Do these improve sales at all?
Also how do you make it? I know I need the image link, but how do I make it "buyable"
Thanks! :)
Most definitely. I sell Petpet Laboratory Maps sets every single day. And the trick on this is having all the maps at 1.5k except one that cost a whooping 5.5k. It's hilarious how almost everyone fall for this deal. +)
You're in for a surprise. Your wish has just been granted!

Yea, I dont do it the SDB way, but I thought I heard someone talking about it once. I dont remember how. Anyways, it would be okay if you keep extras in your sdb, but obviously not if you had to move your items there :P
