Hacked?

I'm sure some of you have heard by now but I thought I'd tell you what happened with hopes it doesn't happen to anyone else: I had been online Wednesday buying everything on half price day (my favorite shopping day) & I signed out about 11:00 PM. Thursday afternoon when I tried to log in I kept getting "Invalid password" So I checked everything & tried again. I logged into my daughters account & looked me up & noticed it said "Last seen: Under One Day" That is when I knew someone hacked into my account. Luckily I did have PIN numbers. So I sent an email to TNT & within an hour my account was disabled. I called in today & he told me it should take them 2 days to straighten it out. I just hope Saturday is considered a day. I really thought all the cookie grabbers was a thing of the past but it looks to me as if its not so be careful & if you haven't added PIN numbers to your till or your bank account I would suggest that you do. Sorry to hear :( Scary stuff, I hope you get it straightened out. Seems like it's been happening to a lot of people lately. Definitely use PIN numbers! They can be a pain in the butt but you get used to it after awhile and it's worth it. It used to drive me nuts because I wasn't accustomed to entering it but I've been using them almost the entire duration that I've been playing and I don't even think twice about it now.

*hugs you Texas* It was this time last year, June 8th to be exact that it happened to me. I remember all to well how awful it felt. If you need anything at all let me know. Do you recall clicking on any links or anything? That's what happened to me, I knew the exact moment it happened. I clicked on a link thinking I was going to someone's trades and it took me to a ummmm page showing pornographic images of neopets instead. *my eyes still burn*

I`m definite it will get straightened out. I do use bank and safety deposit number pins as well. However, I don`t use it for my shop because it is hard to restock that way. I should do that now just in case. What is this cookie grabber, anyways? Is it when you visit a malicious site that enables them to grab your cookies from your internet browser? That really stinks Texas. I'm so glad you had pins on everything! I'm sure you'll get your account back intact. TNT is pretty good about giving back those CGed accounts. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Please keep us posted.

Thanks yall are all so sweet & thoughful. The only other thing I know of is I had received an email from someone saying they saw gator4me as "Noteable Neopet" & she made a screenie for me. I was in a hurry that day & asked Steph to grab it for me. She did & noticed a code in there & wondered what it was so she asked Dmitri about the code & he explained it then shortly after that I was logged out with another click, so I did all the usual but I have to wonder :O Steph thinks it was just the cgers got me on the 3rd. But then again it could be just another glitch with TNT I have had more than my share of those!!! As a matter of fact the last email I received from TNT it was in another language so who knows!!! i am sorry to hear that. good luck with getting your account back as it was! dont forget though, that hacking is not a thing from the past. it happens more and more. last month like 5 people from my nf list got hacked and frozen and sometimes the hacker scams on the account and makes it impossible to get it back ever :( i dont go to any other sites except neopets, but dont think that will help, it seems the cookie grabbing comes from users shops... tnt should move their lazy butts and fix this problem asap but ... its still going strong :(
